Hello!

My name is Ben Swords and I will be hosting hitting lessons out of the Stix facility here in downtown Freeport during the spring semester. My goal is to utilize my knowledge from playing through college to help young players become more confident at the plate.

To give some insight on my playing career, I began with playing varsity for 3 years at Freeport High School, where I obtained All-Conference honors multiple years, including my senior year where I also was awarded the Triple Crown Award along with First Team All-State. I then continued my athletic career at Webster University in St. Louis where I was All-Conference each of my 5 seasons of playing, along with Third Team All-American honors and All-Academic honors as well. I say these things not to boast, but to affirm my experience in the game of baseball, which I wish to extend to the next generations!

I am looking to fill up time slots on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between 4:00 and 6:00 PM on those days until baseball season starts at the high school where I will be coaching. Schedule changes will occur at that time but lessons will continue on from that point at different times depending on my availability. If these times do not work for your schedule, please still reach out and I will try and work with you to find a time that does.
